Tropical American Tree Farms, we are pursuing an environmentally
sensitive, free-enterprise solution to reverse the process of tropical
deforestation. We are using the most up-to-date information and
silvicultural practices in planting previously deforested areas with a
select group of precious tropical hardwood trees for later harvest, for
profit.
And at the same time we are
carefully protecting thousands of acres of existing rainforests, and
setting aside more than 50% of our farms in forest reserves.
